Website statistics

Cloudflare Web Analytics is not currently active.

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and visits, approximate country, referring websites, browser and device type, and page-loading performance. We use the aggregate reports to understand the website's reach and improve it. Cloudflare states that it uses no analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting. We do not receive visitors' IP addresses, identify individuals, record sessions or link statistics to registrations, although Cloudflare itself receives the network information needed to serve each request.

Analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time using "Turn off analytics" in the footer; doing so does not affect access to the website. We also respect your browser's Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track settings. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Settings stored in your browser

We use local storage to remember your light/dark theme, bee-cursor setting and analytics choice, and session storage to cache weather data for up to an hour. These stay in your browser, are not sent to the committee and are not used for advertising. Theme and cursor settings remain until you clear your browser's site data; an analytics choice is saved only when you change it and expires after six months. If local storage is unavailable, we try to remember the choice for the current tab instead.

External services

Hosting. This website is currently hosted on GitHub Pages, which receives connection information, including IP addresses, to run and secure its service. See the GitHub privacy statement.

Maps. The Travel page embeds Google Maps. Loading it sends connection information to Google, which may also use cookies. The analytics control does not cover Google Maps. See Google's privacy policy.

Weather. Near the workshop dates, the Programme page requests a forecast for the venue from Open-Meteo, which receives normal connection information. We never request your device's location. See Open-Meteo's privacy policy.
